Kita Dance Academy - Asian Ribbon dance and workshop
They love to share their cultures with each other and their audiences. They are equally at home in professional theatre and in communities, schools and festivals. Performing the Asian ribbon dance this graceful duo will mesmerise you with their delicate movements and flowing fabrics.
6.00pm - 6.30pm The Naach Box - Bollywood Dance Performance and workshop.
The School of Dance was born in 2016 and is run by instructors Karthika and Raphael. They come with over 20 years’ of professional experience in various dance forms. Between them, they’ve performed and conducted workshops across the world notably in India, United States, Canada, the Middle East, Morocco and now in their new home Australia. They are inspired by the eclectic, vivacious and boisterous nature of music from Indian/Bollywood films. We combine various dance styles into our routines showcasing technique and more importantly, having tons of fun along the way!
6.45pm - 7.15pm Tiya Dance Group - Sri Lankan Dance performance and workshop
Tiya Dance Troupe & Academy Melbourne provide high-quality Srilankan cultural & fusion performances; the team will today perform dances from the high and lowlands of Sri Lanka. Following the performance is a workshop activity where you can join in.
7.30pm - 9.00 pm Faisal Amlani - Indian and Bollywood hits
Faisal Amlani, an Australian - Pakistani, is a Singer, guitarist, composer, and live performer. Hot of the T20 Mens cricket world cup stage Faisal Amlani has performed with a number of incredible International artists including Sonu Nigam, legendary singer K.K, Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Asim Azhar, Aima Baig & Mustafa Zahid to name a few.
5-9pm Plus Roving performers, stilt walkers, face painters and a bouncing castle
Onto to Herb and Chilli night on Friday 9 December to immerse ourselves with sweet and spicy dishes whilst being entertained by traditional Chinese Lion dances, an exciting five-piece African drum and dance ensemble along with a Mauritian dance group.

6.00pm - 7.00pm WALA - Is Life: African Drum & Dance Ensemble- WALA - Is Life: An exciting and dynamic 5 piece West African Drum and Dance Ensemble.
WALA – Means “Life” in their ancestral language from Ghana, West Africa. These passionate musicians and dancers create a dynamic fusion of an assortment of handmade African drums and flutes, dance, and soaring vocal harmonies celebrating their ancestral roots and culture in an exciting display of instruments played with hands, feet, sticks and stunning costumes.
7.00pm - 9.00pm Sonik Waves -Mauritian musician and dance group
Sonik Waves is a Mauritian Cultural Band based in Melbourne. Sonik Waves plays Traditional Mauritian music and perform the Sega dance. This Island dance is all about the hip movement.
5-9pm Plus Roving performers, stilt walkers, face painters and a bouncing castle
Then finally to BBQ & Grill night on Friday 16 December where you will be spoilt with finger-licking foods whilst enjoying live music and an incredible West African dance performance.
Not to mention there will also be roving performers, FREE face painting and a bouncy castle for the little ones to enjoy!

One Spirit Africa is led by Fred Nii Addo a Ghanaian master dancer, drummer, multi-instrumentalist and choreographer based in Victoria. He has over 27 years of experience in international performance and teaching and has toured 22 states of America, Sweden, Israel, New Zealand and many African countries.
