Foodie Festivals Melbourne is pleased to present the POP UP TRUCK initiative to support our food trucking friends.
We acknowledge and appreciate all the efforts to keep the community, our teams and our industry safe. Our POP UP TRUCK initiatives will be taking into considerations all the guidelines provided by the authorities and will discontinue as per health authority advice if so required.
We also acknowledge that it’s tough time ahead for a lot of people in the small business and events industry and want to support our partners the best we can during these times and hope that you will too.
Starting this weekend for a short time we are welcoming some of our food trucks to our neighbourhood with our POP UP TRUCK initiative.
We will change up the food on offer, so you get the opportunity to try new flavours and have something new to look forward to and in turn, we can support more of our partners.

Combining the traditional cooking methods of the streets of India with the fresh, delicious produce of the TFI restaurant you’ll find our truck zooming around Melbourne serving up a range of delicious & spicy treats.

How does this all work?
We are conscious and will abide by the recommendations of the authorities and this is by no means a festival.
Just drive up / walk to 152 Tucker Road (Cnr Centre Road) Bentleigh. We will have 2 food trucks parked at on Friday (5-9pm), Saturday (12-8pm) and Sunday (12-8pm)
They will be open for take away orders during the advertised time.
Our partners will supply environmentally friendly containers.
You can take the food home, go to the park or go for a drive knowing that you are getting an amazing meal and you are supporting a small business that is facing some challenging times.

How long will you run this initiative?
As this stage, we are looking at a short-term weekend popup until the end of April. This, however, can be reassessed based on feedback, community support and any health advice that needs to be taken into consideration so please check the website or Facebook event before you head down there.

How many people will be there at a time?
We are only promoting takeaway from the trucks, there is no seating /table or chairs on site. We are conscious of the guidelines and do not expect to cross these are any point.
Parking?
There is a small amount of parking available on site and lots of free street parking surrounding the area for you to park your vehicles while you get your food.
Are you available anywhere else Bentleigh is a bit too far for me even though my tummy says I should go?
At this stage, we are only able to offer the POP UP TRUCK in Bentleigh but are in conversation with other sites and hope to bring another site online in the south-east suburbs soon.
